No More Employees (Or Employeers)

I’ve been really getting into Eric Karjaluto’s IdeasonIdeas blog recently. It actually is one of my go to blogs now, replacing AirBag industries for Designer Conversation. Anyways, his recently article No more Employees (or Employers), has got the brain juices a stirring a bit, as I start to contemplate the overall goal of Armadillo Studios. It’s a great article and one that any person with the power to make the final decision should really read.

I’ve seen such things happen a few times now, and sometimes with people I like. This past spring, I committed to never being a part of such a dynamic again. I don’t want to make anyone feel crummy, nor do I want to be seen as some kind of “creative slave-driver”. I just want to do my job and make stuff I like; that’s it. Over the past months though, I’ve wondered why such conflicts seem to transpire, and if there couldn’t be a better way.
